This is one example of perfectly flawless synchronization between originality, creativity and innovative imagination with projection-mapping. This 5-minute short video called “The Box” showcases the spectacular fusion of real and digital space through project-mapping on moving surfaces.

Produced by Bot & Dolly, a San Francisco-based design and engineering studio and it’s first of its kind. They believe this methodology has tremendous potential to radically transform theatrical presentations, and define new genres of expression. They said, “It is the culmination of multiple technologies, including large-scale robotics, projection mapping, and software engineering.

This stunning live performance was entirely captured in camera. They used two high-resolution projectors, three industrial robots (picture below), two monitors and an actor. Autodesk’s Maya was also used and was controlled with their own software.
