Organic food is a huge trend: it promises a healthier and better life. But can organic food really live up to the expectations or is it just baloney?

I bought green beans and asparagus at the grocery store last week. When I cooked them I thought, ugh, why do these taste so boring/ Ah, it’s because I have been in a CSA, community supported agriculture, for 9 months. Got my box of vegetables right from the farmer within 24 hours of being picked. A whole different taste! When my kids were little, we got potatoes from Collingwood. If I ran out and served other potatoes, my kids would push the plate away and say, “These aren’t Collingwood potatoes!” They would eye me as if I was trying to murder them.
This is an interesting video but we need more local food and more gardens and this video ignores the whole taste/cost of delivery issue!
When the hurricane hit Puerto Rico, various medicines were only made there. We are now in shortage. We can’t make a medicine in only one place and monocultures of food can get diseases.
