You have probably seen the video of a girl shooting her phone while on Instagram live. Well, the phone however continued to work: you can hear the full gunshot sound and even see the recoil before the stream came to complete halt. But, is it possible for a modern smartphone to stream its own destruction?
No, it’s not – and the video is likely fake.
There’s absolutely no way any smartphone would have survived after being shot at. Mother board comprises a large non-battery portion of the back of the phone, and you know the phone would stop working moment the bullet hit it. Even if the bullet completely missed it and hit the battery instead, it would have killed the phone without delay.
Moreover, considering the long latency period of Instagram live, there’s no way a smartphone could record and stream its own death. Watch the detailed breakdown below.
Shoot first. Ask questions later.

Americans are obsessed with guns. Of course they want to see a smart phone get shot. They watch everything getting shot. They then like to talk about it; can it survive; is it a real or is it staged?
Why does this “girl” even have a gun? Why does the guy in the picture have a rifle? I think it is totally bizarre that these are not the questions being asked.
