How Do Animals Experience Pain?

Humans can experience and identify pain of different sorts – but what about other species? How do the animals experience pain? Do they feel pain the same way we do? In this TED-Ed video, evolutionary biologist Robyn J. Crook delves into how animals – both vertebrate and invertebrate – interpret pain, and why it is challenging for some.

  1. When I went fishing as a child I would stick a worm on a hook, I noticed it would wriggle so I now feel guilty
