The connection between using wireless devices, such as phones and other wireless technologies and cancer has been established in a recent study which suggests that radiation from the wireless devices can cause metabolic imbalance in the body which could be the risk factors for various neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.  But an earlier study on health effects on using phone claimed that using phones do not cause cancer, however this new study sounds more convincing.

Using Wireless devices Does Give You Cancer

The study which was published in Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine entitled “Oxidative Mechanisms of Biological Activity of Low-intensity Radiofrequency Radiation,” aims to explore experimental data on metabolic effects of low-intensity radiofrequency radiation (RFR) in living cells.

Dr. Igor Yakymenko, co-author of the study, defines this metabolic imbalance (also known as oxidative stress) as an imbalance between the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and antioxidant defence.

He explains that the oxidative stress due to RFR exposure could explain cancer and other minor disorders such as headache, fatigue, and skin irritation which could likely developed as a result of long-term exposure to Radiofrequency Radiation from the wireless devices, and these disorders are indeed a clear signs of the real risks this kind of radiation poses for human health.

Environment types do affect the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the cells. According to this study, ROS are often produced in cells due to aggressive environments, and can also be provoked by ordinary wireless radiation.

Radiofrequency Radiation has been classified as a possible carcinogen for humans by the International Agency for research on cancer and the latest research shows possible carcinogenic effects of radiofrequency (RFR)/microwave radiation. Now, researchers call for a precautionary approach in using wireless devices, such as phones and wireless Internet.
