SMS Racing is a time trial arcade racer that simulates the fearsome experience of texting while driving. The game is not even in the final form, however it seems to have snared the attention of the masses .

Game developer Holden Link said, “SMS Racing is not meant to be a racing simulation masterpiece. I built it on top of the stock Unity racing game demo in two days for Ludum Dare 27, “10 Seconds.” Ludum Dare is a regular accelerated game development Event. Participants develop games from scratch in a weekend, based on a theme suggested by community.

Here’s the titbit demo of the game. Drivers receive texts and are asked to respond within 10 seconds, if not, the text-to-speech narrator nullifies the current lap time.
