Well, recently Organovo has developed NovoGen MMX Bioprinter™ – the world’s first commercial 3D bioprinter that can print human tissues on demand. Here’s the look of its manufacturing process of functional liver tissues. Scientists believe this will soon help biochemists test new drugs.

They say the initial focus of the bioprinter is on producing simple tissues, like blood vessels and nerve conduit, but potentially any tissue or organ can be built.
