After the world has been put to its extreme level of excitement by showcasing how a nano-technology based Ultra-Ever Dry whisks away any type of liquid from any surface, the scientists yet again have developed a new water repellent fabric that drains away sweat from the body. This application is based on microfluidic technology genuinely endeavored by researchers at the University of California, Davis.
“The new fabric works like human skin, forming excess sweat into droplets that drain away by themselves”, said inventor Tingrui Pan.
As seen in the video, the fabric is stitched with water-carrying threads. The fabric here is basically made up of hydrophobic material and as it comes in contact with the water-carrying threads (let’s say hydrophilic threats), the water is absorbed. After it has been absorbed, it is channeled through the gaps and then released on the other side.
